L4-L5 Posterior annular tear diffuse disc bulge with left paracentral protrusion narrowing left lateral recess with compression of left traversing nerve root. These simple words of MRI cannot tell us the severity of the pain, what Mr. Dilbag Singh felt for months. Pain was severe and he was not able to do daily chores. Joining the duty back was just next to impossible for Mr. Singh. He neither did any heavy work nor did he lift any weight. He is a professor who teaches science in college. The low back was just a routine for him for three years but when did the same simple low back ache turned into severe pain- he could not recollect on first consultation. Ayurvedic Treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear was the only thought for him, for which he could not find any answer.
L4-L5 Posterior disc protrusion
I am Dilbag Singh, associate professor in chemistry, Govt.College Sec-14, Gurgaon. I am 52 years old and my weight is 64 Kg. In March,2014 I felt stiffness in the back for the first time , when I got down the car after a long drive. I did not pay much heed to it. But the pain went on increasing. After a month I went to an orthopaedic surgeon.I was advised complete bed rest and medicines for four days. Then I was advised some exercises for the back and I started doing my routine duties.
Things remained normal for one and half year. In October 2015, I went to Manali. After returning from Manali there was sudden recurrence of back pain which went to the left leg also. Then I consulted a spine Specialist at Spinal Injuries Center Vasant Kunj Delhi in January. But there was no relief and I was confined to bed on March 7, 2016 with severe pain in the back and left leg. Pain was so severe that I could not sleep for whole nights.
More on to this, the fear of surgery was not as big as was his depression due to statements of doctors. That sooner or later he will loose all the strength in his leg and won’t be able to walk or do anything in future. The so called nerve strengthening medicines like Gabapetine dragged him to the severe depression. He kept on reading the words of MRI finding again and again but couldn’t justify how can this problem make him completely sleepless. L4-L5 Posterior annular tear diffuse disc bulge with left paracentral protrusion was the only thing he knew till the date he came to Sukahyu for Ayurvedic treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear.

L4-L5 Posterior annular tear diffuse disc bulge with left paracentral protrusion: What did it mean??
Generally the main thing which bothers in case of disc bulge and herniation is- number of the disc. Like others Mr. Dilbagh’s expression was- My L4-L5 has a disc bulge, can Ayurveda or Sukhayu restore- this? We nodded. Nodded to NO. Yes, because that is an impact of pathological process that one of your disc is affected. What matters is why does that why – Bulged Disc? Number comes afterwards. The first line of his MRI was Loss of Lordosis due to muscular spasm (MRI attached here). But every physician or surgeon was kept on telling him other stories.
I remained on bed for about 42 days. But even after such a long bed rest there was no relief rather the condition went on deteriorating. During the bed rest I searched about this problem and it’s treatment on internet. During my search I came across Sukhayu Ayurveda.I watched videos of persons treated at Sukhayu Ayurveda and lectures of Dr PradeepSharma. Then I contacted the center and I was asked to send the MRI report by email.I received the reply and was told about the treatment at Sukhayu Ayurveda.
I reached Sukhayu Ayurveda on APRIL19, 2016 in a very terrific physical and mental Condition. I could hardly sit and walk at that time.
Ayurvedic Treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear
Job profile of Mr. Dilbagh was to use the black board to draw some diagrams and equations for his students. This is a posture where people in teaching affect their lower and middle back severely. When he was writing something on the lower part of board with help of a chalk. He needed to bend. This bend affected the whole curvature of the spine. When curvature of the spine was affected, that reduced the space between the vertebrae. This impact was more on L4-L5 spinal disc. Thus L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear. Because the drying jelly just started to press the ligaments. Ligaments cracked. And jelly gave a protrusion. Because of this whole process- L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear. This was the reason why the main issue for us was not treatment for L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear. We worked on the root cause of the problem.
Ayurvedic Treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear : The planning
We treated the condition of loss of lordosis while doing Ayurvedic treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear without surgery our main focus was on two three basic things. There were three things-
- Loss of Lordosis
- Degeneration of the spine
- Disc Bulge
These were taken as root cause of the problem. Because we knew without working on the root cause of the problem, we wont be able to treat the patient. Alone Ayurvedic Treatment of L4-L5 disc bulge with annular tear would not have done any justification for the condition. We used our three dimensional approach of ayurvedic treatment for disc bulge, in a planned way. This made the change in condition of the patient. Slowly Mr. Singh’s symptoms improved, but it was permanent.
I could hardly sit and walk at that time. I consulted Dr Pradeep. He examined me and told me that my stay at the hospital will be for 21 days. My treatment started on the very first day with PANCHKARMA and Ayurvedic medicines. After one week yoga exercises also started. After about 10 days I was able to walk and sit for a small period of time. Slowly there was improvement and I was discharged after 21 days. The course of medicines lasted for about 100days.My condition improved day by day and I got back to normal life without any pain. Two years have passed I am leading normal life and doing all the activities. I regularly do yoga for 40 minutes in the morning as suggested by Dr Vinay.I am heartily thankful and indebted to Dr Pradeep, Dr Vinay, Dr Neetu and their dedicated team at Sukhayu Ayurveda.By my experience I can confidently say that Sukhayu Ayurveda is one of the best hospitals and Dr Pradeep is one of the best doctors for spinal problems.
Here is the whole experience of Mr. Dilbag Singh as a patient, what he faced and felt during the treatment.
