Human body is meant to move!! The movement is based on the two systems majorly, rather three in a different way-

  1. Muscles: These help us in movement
  2. Joints: these give leverage to the body, which helps in movements.
  3. Nerves: these work as directors. Direction from brain comes to the brain through spinal cords.

Muscles and joints make the – musculoskeletal system of the body.

Musculoskeletal strength lends a hand to an individual execute every day activities more simply.

The strength of this system lessens the risk of injury, and boosts abdominal and back health.

When it comes to muscle strength everybody will suggest only one thing- exercise more and build muscles is the answer.

Most important, helping children and youth be cautious of the status of their muscular sturdiness, endurance and flexibility can carry forward into adulthood, preventing health concerns and improving quality of life. But for many of us (the western concept) muscular strength translates into stiff and hard muscles.

As an Ayurvedic physician, I have faced this issue with a lot of young people. Young people who are into gyming regularly. They come to me with a strong belief that “heavy-weight-exercises” is the only way to build the healthy muscles.

I am trying to explain this here once again, so that you can better understand the real meaning of the strong muscles.

What muscles are Actually?

Muscles are group of fibers. The fibers which accommodate with each other. These fibers are wonderfully designed to “stretch” and “shrink”. These two qualities help to move the joints and muscles under influence of the nerves.

Muscle cells are full of two types of proteins- actin and myosin, and these two proteins are responsible for the quality of “stretch” and “shrink”.

So it sounds that- these are just proteins. But there are many other things too which help in the activities. The smoothness of the movements is the core thing to check with.

But what makes these fibers with protein- strong, is the main thing to discuss here.

The Really Strong Muscles

It is a made-up belief that for keeping your muscular strength refers to keeping your muscles hard.

Fluffy muscles are weak.

It is a myth to be honest. Hard muscles later, lead to soreness of muscles.

This causes the problem of stiff muscles and bring a lot of pain. It is thus, suggested to keep your muscles flexible and mouldable.

There are specific exercises that can keep muscles flexible. But any mismanaged angles can lead to more harm than any good. So, you should launch into the Ayurvedic treatment first. Well, the benefit is, it doesn’t harm you along with improving you from inside.

What we do for Muscular Strength

Panchakarma method of treatment is the best of all. It believes that the main cause of a disease is nothing but Vata Dosha in the body. Whenever our vata vitiates, it first enters into the empty channels of the body. Thereafter creates such disorders. Some of muscular disorders are Ardita, Sandhi Vata, Amavata, Vatarakta, etc. When the vata of the body gets poisoned, it turns into degeneration of various parts of the body (especially skeletal and muscle tissue). By this, the nerves passing through get low nutrition and thus get turned off. These are muscular disorder.

The classical treatments give the belief that Panchakarma is the five step purification process which detoxifies your body and cleanses it. Therapies like Snehana and Swedana nourishes your body and relaxes muscles, tissues and nerves of your body. It tones your muscles and improves flexibility by improving the flow of blood circulation. Mriduvirechana with basti karmas are advantageous which calms down the provoked vata. And this by increases strength and immune system of the person. Yoga followed by Panchakarma much more to your health. It is beneficial to your body by maintaining good health and longevity of your wellness.

The purpose for a healthy spine comprises of correct position of the vertebrae and pelvis without uncontrolled disc pressure and the potential of the pelvis to move forward and backward without pressure on the muscles or connective tissue. An individual must have adequate, but not too much flexibility of the low back, hamstring, and hip flexor muscles.
